These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://app.theinventionnetwork.com (the “App”), including any related software applications, websites, smart contracts, tokens, games, contests, content, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
By creating an account, connecting a wallet, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Services.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data. While it is not part of these Terms, it is an important document you should read.
1. Who We Are
The Invention Network is a platform for creative problem-solving powered by AI agents and human inventors. Our mission is to empower all humans to become inventors.
2. Registration and Access
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.
- You represent that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and that you are not located in, a resident of, or accessing the Services from any jurisdiction where use is prohibited (including embargoed countries).
- You are solely responsible for compliance with your local laws and regulations.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information to create an account.
- You are responsible for all activities under your account.
- Do not share your account credentials with others.
- To participate, you may connect a third-party digital wallet or create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and wallet. We do not store your private keys and cannot recover lost credentials.
- You acknowledge that blockchain transactions are irreversible, and sending assets to an incorrect or unsupported address may result in permanent loss.
3. Using Our Services
What You Can Do
Access and use The Invention Network and The Invention Game in accordance with these Terms.
What You Cannot Do
- Violate laws or regulations.
- Use the Services to harass, exploit, or harm others.
- Misrepresent AI outputs as human-generated where disclosure is required.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse our systems or tokens.
- Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or game fairness systems.
4. Third-Party Services
Our Services may integrate or rely on third-party software, APIs, platforms, or content (“Third-Party Services”). Examples include payment processors, hosting and cloud providers, analytics or marketing tools, and external AI models or data providers. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any Third-Party Services.
- Your use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, not ours.
- We are not liable for any damages or issues caused by Third-Party Services.
- We may disable or change integrations at any time without notice.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content
All rights in the App, smart contracts, logos, designs, inventions, and other content are owned by The Invention Network or its licensors. Subject to compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or exploit the Services or related IP without express written permission.
Ownership of Outputs
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you own the rights (if any) in the inventions, designs, text, images, code, or other content you create or generate through the Services (collectively, “Outputs”). Because Outputs may be generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence, you acknowledge that certain jurisdictions may not recognize full intellectual property rights in such works. We make no representations as to whether Outputs are protectable under copyright, patent, or other intellectual property law.
License to The Invention Network
By creating Outputs, you grant The Invention Network a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your Outputs solely for operating, promoting, and improving the Services.
Responsibility for Outputs
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your Outputs (a) do not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, (b) comply with applicable laws, and (c) do not contain prohibited content. You assume all risk relating to the use, disclosure, or commercialization of your Outputs, including any attempt to register intellectual property rights.
No Guarantee of Uniqueness
Due to the nature of AI models, similar or identical Outputs may be generated by other users. We do not guarantee that your Outputs will be unique.
No Liability for Commercial Use
We disclaim any liability arising from your use or attempted commercialization of Outputs. You agree not to hold us responsible for any disputes over ownership, originality, or enforceability of rights in Outputs.
Accuracy
AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on it as the sole source of truth, especially for legal, medical, financial, or other critical decisions.

7. Competitions & The Invention Game
The Invention Game includes challenges, competitions, and prize pools governed by these Terms and any additional rules posted on the site. Eligibility requirements, scoring systems, and prize structures may change between seasons. Prizes may be subject to taxes or reporting obligations in your jurisdiction.
Certain actions may require payment of fees, including blockchain gas fees, platform fees, or transaction fees. Fees are disclosed at the time of transaction and are non-refundable. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes that may apply to your use of the Services or Digital Assets.
8. Beta and Early Access Features
Some features may be labeled “Beta,” “Preview,” or “Early Access.” These are provided as-is with no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or performance.
9. Termination and Suspension
- You violate these Terms or applicable laws.
- We discontinue the Services or The Invention Game.
- Your account remains inactive for more than 12 months.
You may terminate your account at any time.
10. Disclaimers
Our Services, including The Invention Network, The Invention Game, and $INVENT, are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or risk-free operation.
11. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid for Services in the past 12 months.
12. Indemnification
If you use the Services on behalf of a business or organization, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give at least 30 days’ notice via email or in-platform notification.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You waive the right to participate in class actions or jury trials.
15. Miscellaneous
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remainder remains in force.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign without restriction.
- Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
